6 Steps to a Better Life.
A Color Code Workshop
Your core motive is where you started. Character is what you have built on top of it, and that part was always a choice. This is Dr. Hartman's work on the six steps of becoming charactered, and it looks at both sides: how you think you show up, and how the people who know you experience you.
$325 · your 360 is included
Certified by Dr. Taylor Hartman Live, never recorded
This builds directly on it. If you have not taken Color Code or Communication Code yet, the next one is Saturday, October 17, the week before.
Start with Communication Code →A few people you choose take an assessment about you, included in your seat. What comes back is the gap between how you see yourself and how you actually land.

Why there is a second code
Your personality is not your character.
One of them you were born with. The other one you have been building your whole life, mostly without deciding to. Dr. Hartman drew that line clearly: your core motive explains why you do what you do, and your character decides whether anyone is better off for it.
Which is why the honest version of the Color Code has never been a personality test you pass. Knowing your core motive tells you where your strengths and your blind spots come from. It does not tell you what to do about them. That is a different day, and this is that day.
The uncomfortable part
Character is the one thing you cannot assess honestly on your own, because the blind spot is doing the assessing. That is why the people who know you are part of it.
The Hartman system
The six steps to becoming charactered.
Six steps that will take a lifetime and more to complete. You can start at any one of them, and the work is not finished until it reaches somebody other than you. We walk you through all six, live, and you leave having worked your own material rather than watched someone explain a model.
Value Yourself
You cannot give away something you do not have.
Seek Truth
What is actually so, including the parts you defend.
Clean Your Motives
The same action can come from two different places.
Focus Commitments
What you keep doing after it stops being convenient.
Discover Balance
Every strength taken far enough becomes its own limitation.
Serve Others
Where it stops being a private improvement project.
What makes this one different
How you think you show up, and how others experience you.
It is a 360, run on character rather than performance. You ask a few people who actually see you, often a partner, a couple of friends, and a colleague, to take an assessment about you. They do not attend the workshop. Their assessments are included in your price.
What comes back is not a performance review and it is not a popularity score. It is the distance between the person you believe you are being and the person other people are actually experiencing. For most of us that distance is not nothing, and it is very hard to find any other way.
You pick them
Nobody is assigned to you. You decide who you want an honest read from, and you send them the assessment.
They answer about you
Not about themselves. The questions ask what they observe in you, which is the one thing they genuinely have access to.
Several views, not a verdict
One person's read on you is a mood. What you are after is what more than one of them saw.
We work it on the day
You are not left holding a report. The results are part of the workshop, with both of us in the room while you go through them.
You send the assessment links after you register. The people answering take the assessment only, not the workshop. They do not need to have taken Color Code, and there is nothing for them to buy.
Character Code, October 24, 2026. Live on Zoom.
One price. Your own assessment and your 360 are included.
What you leave with
Not a label. A working list.
Where you actually are
The core motive you already know, now read against the six steps rather than scored as a grade.
The outside view
What the people who know you answered about you, brought together so the pattern shows instead of one person's opinion.
The gap, named
Where your intent and your impact are not the same thing yet, and which of the six steps that points to.
Meet your facilitators
Certified in Color Code and Character Code.
Both are certified directly by Color Code founder Dr. Taylor Hartman, Tracie since October 2014 and Tevya since 2017, and they bring decades of combined experience in transformation, coaching, and leadership development. Their interactive style makes the content personal, relevant, and immediately usable.
Certified in Color Code and Character Code by Dr. Taylor Hartman in October 2014, Tracie has been teaching this system for over a decade. She has also spent thirteen years building and leading a distributed team, which means she has had the hard conversation with every type there is. She teaches the system the way she uses it, as a practical tool for real conversations rather than a label to hand someone.
Trained and certified by Taylor Hartman himself in 2017, Tevya has been teaching this system for 9 years. As a Performance Coach, Tevya guides people to understand human behavior at a depth that turns into measurable growth. One of Tevya’s super powers is helping people to connect the dots and to discover their Next Level.

Questions
Before you enroll.
Do I have to have taken Communication Code first?
Yes. Character Code builds directly on knowing your own core motive, and without that the six steps have nothing to sit on. If you have not taken Color Code or Communication Code yet, the next Communication Code is Saturday, October 17, the week before this one.
Who should I ask to take the assessment about me?
Most people choose a partner if they have one, a couple of friends, and a colleague. That spread is the point: it shows you whether the person you are at work is the person you are at home. Pick people who will tell you the truth, since choosing people who already agree with you wastes the exercise.
You will get fuller instructions on choosing after you register, so it is not something you need to settle before you reserve your seat.
Is this like a 360 at work?
It is a 360 in structure, and nothing like one in purpose. A work 360 rates your performance and goes in a file. This one is about character, it belongs to you, and no employer is involved in it at any point.
What do the people I ask actually have to do?
Take an assessment about you, and that is the whole of their part. They do not attend the workshop. Nothing to prepare, nothing to pay, and no background in the system needed. We will send you how their answers are gathered and what you will see, along with the assessment links.
Do they have to pay, or take Color Code first?
Neither. Their assessments are included in your seat, and they do not need any background in the system to answer about you.
Will it be recorded?
No. This is a live, interactive session and people share real things about themselves. Nothing is recorded, for everyone's privacy. Come live.
Is this the real Hartman Character Code?
Yes. Character Code is Dr. Taylor Hartman's own work, and both facilitators are certified by him in Color Code and Character Code. Dr. Hartman is no longer associated with The Color Code organization, and facilitators trained through that organization are not trained by him.
Character is the part you get to choose.
You already know what moves you. This is the day you find out what you have built with it, and hear how it lands with the people who have been watching all along.
